Hello, spring!

Sure signs of spring:

The birds are singing.

The leaves are starting to come out and the flowers are blooming.

And last but not least, the allergies are going frakkin' crazy. But it's oh, so worth it! Just bring on the Claritin!

Backyard Bobcat

Yesterday, there was an accident on I84 just as I was getting ready to leave for work so I decided to work from home for a bit to let the accident clear. I was sitting at the kitchen counter when I happened to notice what I thought was a house cat come into the yard like it was stalking something. My first thought was that it was going after a bird and I was ready to run outside and scare it away. When I got a better look, I realized that it was actually a very small bobcat. I was still a little worried that it was going for a bird but when I saw that it was staring down a squirrel, I decided to let the little nature drama play out. I keep the camera right by the window so I grabbed it and snapped a couple of pics.


Sadly, the squirrel got away - it took off and the bobcat didn't bother following it. It walked away hungry and the squirrel is still stealing the bird seed.

March Madness? Yawn...

While I don't storm off into another room cursing in symbols, I do not enjoy March's TV selections.
