Sorry for the lack of blogging while we’ve been on vacation. It’s not like we were particularly busy during our vacation or anything but I always feel weird posting a lot of details about us being away from home. I have stalkers.
And technically I am a little late on my Happy Monday installment for this week, but it's early enough that one could argue that Tuesday hasn't really started yet. One could not argue that very successfully but whatever.
Yesterday was the first day back to work and while that particular fact doesn’t exactly make my Happy Monday list it had to happen eventually. What I am happy about is that we had a nice long restful break. It’s rare that we take a full two weeks for a vacation and the way it worked out, it was very relaxing and very enjoyable. We split the time between some family in Canada and with Todd’s folks in Florida and made every effort to keep everything very low key – no gifts, no guilt, no stress, good food, good drink, good company. By keeping it low key I think we actually had one of our most pleasant Christmas/New Year seasons ever. And while I wasn't excited about the return to work yesterday at least I was ready for it.
President-elect Barack Obama takes office two weeks from today! "Today" being Tuesday which I argued above hasn't really started yet because I'm trying to sneak in a Happy Monday a day late, but let's say that Tuesday starts... now!

I like how you were able to time your Monday blog so it finished up just in time for your Obama count down on Tuesday. Very clever of you. :)
I too would argue that Tuesday doesn't really start until sun up on Tuesday. But I would like not to get up before the sun. Of course some days the sun seems to stay in bed. Today aparently been one of those days. :{
